Handheld Floodlights
High-power LED floodlights with custom power-electronics and firmware. Five iterations refined the design for brightness, reliability and user experience. Several units are still in use today.
Autonomous Drone
Created an autonomous drone with realtime computer-vision navigation from scratch for my Matura thesis. Won two awards from “Schweizer Jugend Forscht” and “Fokus Maturaarbeit”.
Night Vision Goggles
Wearable digital night vision system using IR cameras and Nvidia Jetson for image processing. Processed video feeds to internal displays mounted inside the goggles.
Self-Hosting
Always-on home server. A dozen Dockerized services for photos, files, notes, calendar, tasks, chat, home automation, media streaming, self-hosted AI agents and much more. Nightly off-site backups.
Electric Go-Kart
Electrification of a pedal go-kart. Retrofitted motor, batteries, and control electronics into the chassis. Integrated with custom mounting systems and drivetrain adaptation.
Escaping Nano-Drone
Developed a fully onboard algorithm for my bachelor thesis, enabling nano-drones to detect and escape moving objects in real-time on resource-constrained hardware.
